From the Vault: Rolex Day-Date "Pink on Pink"

Watch of the Month: Rolex Day-Date "Pink on Pink" Ref. 1803

Introduced in 1956, the Day-Date was the first waterproof chronometer to display both day and date in full, earning the nickname "President" for its adoption by statesmen and industry leaders worldwide.

This 1973 ref. 1803 takes that legacy further. A rare tone-on-tone configuration: warm 18k pink gold case paired with a matching sunburst pink dial, set with eight single-cut and two baguette-cut diamond hour markers. Known among collectors as "pink-on-pink", produced in tiny numbers and almost never seen in this condition today.

  • Ref. 1803
  • 18k Pink Gold
  • From 1973
  • Diamond dial
  • Price: 48,530 euro
